Biography

Ethel B. Dahlberg

Born in Jamestown July 19, 1917. Daughter of Henry & Florence Erlandson Beckman. Widow of E. Harvey Dahlberg, who died October 6, 1986. (Married in Jamestown 11/23/39)
Graduate of Jamestown High School, class of 1936. Before retirement in 1981 she was employed for 26 years by the Chautauqua County Soil & Water Conservation District. Member of AARP, Diana Lodge, Thule Lodge, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club Auxiliary, Ira Lou Spring Post #149 Auxiliary, Retired Public Employees Association and Associate Director Chautauqua County Soil & Water Conservation District. She enjoyed dancing and playing cribbage.
Survived by two sons, Jeffrey L. Dahlberg (Julianne Kinsman), Easthampton, MA and John S. Dahlberg (Susan), Wheatfield, NY; four grandchildren: Winslow Dahlberg-Wright , Signe Dahlberg-Wright, Steven J. Dahlberg, Jeffrey M. Dahlberg; sister Geneva Shreve, Falconer, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Harold Beckman and Ernest Beckman; sisters Agnes Anderson and Esther Nestle; and friend Paul Thompson.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday January 21, 2012 in the Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
