Obituary of Lucinda M. Lanphere

Lucinda M. Lanphere, 64, of Sinclairville, died Wednesday May 5, 2010, in WCA Hospital. A native of Jamestown, she was born September 25, 1945, a daughter of Albert Covey and Beulah Burch Covey Moore. She was employed by Fredonia Place as an aide and earlier had worked in Jamestown for Mr. Donut for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting, but most of all she loved the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her husband John Lanphere, whom she married November 25, 1960, six children Yvonne (James) Myers of Bowling Green, KY, Susan (Kenneth) Randolph of Palm Bay, FL and John Lanphere, Jr., Clifford (Jennifer) Lanphere, Quintin (JoAnn) Lanphere and Matthew (Lisa) Lanphere, all of Sinclairville, thirty three grandchildren, forty four great grandchildren, a sister Sharon Goodwill of Jamestown and two brothers Kenneth Moore of Jamestown and Donald Scholl of Lakewood. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her step father Alfred Moore. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Nate Wood, pastor of Ellery Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
