Obituary of Kathleen E. Rieger

Kathleen E. Rieger, 99, formerly of 9 Crystal Ave. Lakewood and 110 W Third St. Jamestown, died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday (January 31, 2010) in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. A lifelong area resident, she was born February 6, 1910 in Sinclairville, NY the daughter of Clarence and Bertha Fisk Hubbard. She was a member of the Jamestown Community Chapel (formerly Weakland Chapel) and the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club Auxilliary. Kathleen is survived by several friend's, including Barbara Aaron of Lakewood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Rieger whom she married February 6, 1960 and who died October 15, 1979; twin sons, Richard and Roger Carlson; a brother, Leon Hubbard; and a sister, Dorothy Vidyell. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald A. Haglund will officiate. Burial will be in the Bentley Cemetery, Lakewood. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service Thursday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Jamestown Community chapel, 35 Camp St. Jamestown, NY 14701.
