Obituary of Jamie A. Short

Jamie A. Short-Auria, 21, of 17D Bradmar Circle, Jamestown passed away at 9:22 p.m. Wednesday (February 15, 2012) in the Town of Busti. A lifelong area resident he was born March 17, 1990 in Melbourne, FL a son of Deborah A. Auria and Toby E. Short. He had attended Jamestown High School and graduated from Panama Central School and also attended Jamestown Community College. Jamie was currently employed as a painter by Ideal Coatings, Inc. of Jamestown. In previous years he had worked for Levi Mitchener Construction of Frewsburg and Brigiottas's Farmland. He was a member of the Busti Trap Club where he also worked in his spare time. He was an avid trap shooter having received many awards including a New York State Championship and several awards in Ohio. He also enjoyed duck and goose hunting. Surviving are his mother Deborah of Jamestown, his father Toby of Hillsboro, OH, a brother Dan (Mercedes) Auria of Ashville, two sisters Ashley Marie Short of Jamestown, Ackakyia Jester of Frewsburg, his maternal grandparents Frank and Katherine Auria of Ashville, his paternal grandfather Earl Short of MT, his paternal grandmother Carol Short (Bill Brewer) of Greenfield, OH, a niece J"Lynn Marie Short of Jamestown and his fiance Taylor Snyder of Lakewood. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dayle F. Keefer, pastor of the Fluvanna Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
