Obituary of Dimetrio F. Constantino

Dimetrio F. "Bucky" Constantino, 93, of 145 Chandler St. Jamestown, passed away at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015, in his home. A lifelong area resident, he was born July 6, 1922 in Jamestown, NY, a son of the late Frank and Mary Cavallaro Costantino. He was a 1941 graduate of Jamestown High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving two tours of service during World War from 1942 – 1946 and also the Korean War from 1950 – 1952 as an aviation mechanic second class Before his retirement he was employed as a production planner for the former Proto Tool Company where he worked for 35 years. Surviving are a son, Donald (Michele) Constantino of Ashville, NY, a daughter, Donna (Kevin) Gray of Honeoye Falls, NY, three grandchildren, Nicole Constantino of Jamestown, NY, Mary (Joe) Koncikowski of Seattle, WA, Aaron Constantino of Ashville, NY, five great grandchildren, Kortney Young, Brennan Constantino both of Jamestown, Lily Constantino, Lia Constantino both of Lakewood, NY, Ryleigh Koncikowski of Seattle, two brothers, Joseph (Josie) Constantino of Jamestown, Samuel Constantino of Erie, PA and a sister, Nancy Rogers of Indianapolis, IN. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Anthony Costantino and an infant sister, Mary Costantino. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Deacon Cathy Smith, hospice chaplain will officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 West Fairmount Ave. Lakewood, NY 14750 or to a charity of one's choice.
