Obituary of Dana L. Bergman

Dana L. Bergman, 55, of 1117 West Third St. Jamestown, passed away at 12:48 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2015, in his home following a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong area resident, he was born August 15, 1960 in Jamestown, NY a son of Carol A. Doss Bergman and the late Paul W. Bergman. Dana was 1978 graduate of Southwestern Central School and a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving from 1978 to 1982. Prior to his illness, he had operated Dock Masters, an unloading service in the Jamestown area. Dana will be remembered as a perfectionist and took great pride in everything he did. He enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of his home and plowing snow during the winter months. Surviving are his wife, Mary L. Gullotti Bergman whom he married August 29, 1992, his mother, Carol Bergman, two sons, Seth J. Bergman, Justin M. Main, two grandchildren, Julianna G. Main, Carmine S. Main all of Jamestown, as well as three sisters also survive. He was preceded in death by his father Paul W. Bergman and a brother Brian C. Bergman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Holy Apostles Parish at Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor of St. James Catholic Church will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.
