Obituary of Roger D. Lundsten

Roger D. Lundsten, 86, formerly of 28 Cedar Ave., went home to be with the Lord and his loving wife on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in the Lutheran Home and Rehab Center. An area resident all his life, he was born in Jamestown, a son of the late Andrew L. and Emma C. Hagstrom Lundsten. He attended Jamestown High School and was a member of New Creation Assembly of God. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. Before retiring he was employed by the Blackstone Corporation. In earlier years he worked for the Jamestown Police Dept. as an officer, Coca-Cola, Crescent Tool, Jamestown Dept. of Public Works at the power plant, and as a carpenter building homes for Ridge Pike Homes. He enjoyed old cars, camping at Penn Highlands, carpentry, and will be remembered as a jack of all trades. Roger is survived by his four daughters, Sharon McIntyre, Marcia ( James) Coone, both of Jamestown, Wendy (Howard) Linamen of Lakewood, Carol Bollman of Georgetown, TX; 11 grandchildren, LeeAnn Swarthout, Jeremy McIntyre, Adrian, Joshua, and Andrew (Kaitlin) Coone, Crystal Moorhead, Kendra (Josh) Bowman, Jacob (Mary) Linamen, Jessie Linamen, David Bollman, all of Jamestown, Aaron (Lisa) Bollman of New York, NY, Rachelle Bollman and Elizabeth Bollman of Texas; 25 great-grandchildren; a brother, Darwin Lundsten, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jeannine L. Carlson Lundsten, whom he married March 29, 1952 and whom passed away Sept. 8, 2003, and three brothers, Carl, Robert, and Gerald Lundsten. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015 in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. William Blair, pastor of New Creation Assembly of God, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
