Obituary of Norma T. O'Kelley

O'KELLEY, Norma T. (Kote) died Nov 17, 2015 in Vero Beach, FL. Beloved wife of the late Douglas W. O'Kelley. Devoted mother of Shawn D. O'Kelley (Patricia). Also survived by granddaughter Kerri Marie, great-granddaughters Juliana and Trista, grandson's Joseph and Andrew O'Kelley, nephew Christopher Kote (Georgia), and their son Cameron, Aunt Rose Mocklar , and numerous nieces and nephews. A resident of Jamestown most of her life, she worked as a medical technologist and was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Ladies Erene Society and sang in the church choir. Norma was proud of her Albanian heritage and husband's Irish heritage. She loved traveling to see family and friends in many parts of the country. She was surrounded by family. For those who could not be with her, take comfort that she went peacefully and bravely. She died as she lived it would seem, with much purpose on the exact date and hour of her husband Douglas' untimely death in 1980. She fought the good fight, kept the faith and gave us years of great memories and stories that we will treasure forever. A graveside service at Lakeview Cemetery, officiated by Father George Zervos will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 1PM followed by a Mercy Meal at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 15 Francis Street, Jamestown, NY. 14701. Donations can be made to the building fund at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in her name to the address above.
