Obituary of Robert V. Wiltsie

Robert V. "Bob" Wiltsie, 82, of 329 Howard Ave WE, formerly of 1449 Trask Road Jamestown, passed away Friday December 18, 2015 in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born February 23, 1933 in Jamestown the son of the late Howard E. and Blanche Solinger Wiltsie. Bob was a US Army veteran serving from 1951 to 1954 as a medic in Germany during the Korean War. He had been employed by Sysco Foods, formerly S.M. Flickinger for many years, retiring as Receiving Department Supervisor. Bob was a life member of Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed woodworking and mowing his yard on his tractor. Surviving are his wife Donell Clarice Stevens Wiltsie whom he married September 21, 1991; six children, Charlene G. Wiltsie of Washington, DC; Patrick M. (Rose) Wiltsie of Falconer; Timothy V. Wiltsie of Jamestown; Gregory M. Wiltsie of Fredonia; Brian G. (Dee) Wiltsie of Jamestown; Cheryl A. Wiltsie of Killeen, TX; seven grandchildren, Michael, Miranda, Nicholas, Michelle, Marionna, Caley, and Shelby; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Delores Lewis of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by his first wife Jeanne M. Corkery Wiltsie who died December 16, 1989; his twin infant daughters Debra Ann and Linda Sue Wiltsie who died in 1955; his father Howard; his mother Blanche Wiltsie Sanborn; and a sister Patricia M. Parkhurst who died January 3, 2012. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Judy Stevens will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be in Busti Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
