Obituary of Doris C. Cochran

Doris C. Cochran, 85, of Brookdale, Lakewood, NY, formerly of Corry, PA, passed away Saturday April 23, 2016 in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born December 21, 1930 in Union, NJ the daughter of the late William H. and Hilda Quinn Waddell. While living in Corry, Doris worked at Corry Hospital as a Nurse's Aide; was a Girl Scout Leader; swim coach at the Corry YMCA; and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at St. Elizabeth's Church. Surviving are her three children, William David Cochran (Jessica) of High Point, NC; Diane M. Cochran (Mark Anderson) of Lakewood, NY; Pamela S. Cochran (Fred Pegram) of High Point, NC; five grandchildren, Rachael Rosenberg of Dorr, MI; Andrew Boozel of Clymer, NY; Jennifer Higley of Cary, NC; Jaclyn McCombs of Fairfax, VA; Leigh Ann Cochran of Winston Salem, NC; five great grandchildren, Emily, Nataly, Anna, William, and Charlie. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, William B. Cochran; and two brothers, Harold and Donald Waddell. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Samuel Shreffler, Heritage Group Chaplain will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Monday in the funeral home.
