Obituary of Daniel C. Eddy

Daniel C. Eddy, 60, of 304 Oak St. in Lakewood died Thursday, April 28, 2016 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa. following a relatively short battle with cancer. He was the husband of Rebecca Arnone Eddy whom he married June 11, 2000. A Jamestown area resident for the last seven years, Dan was born September 13, 1955 in Dunkirk, N.Y., a son of the late Leland H. and Bertha Morse Eddy. He had been employed in earlier years for Steve St. George Enterprises, Frame Trucking, operated his own landscaping business and did property management while living in Greensboro, N.C. Prior to his retirement he was employed by ECR International in Dunkirk, N.Y. Dan enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and being outdoors working in his yard. He loved time spent with his family and especially his grandchildren. Surviving along with his wife Rebecca are a son, Donald (Leah) Eddy of Cuba, N.Y. and a daughter, Angela Eddy of Dunkirk; three grandchildren, Jazmin, Devin and Keisha Eddy of Dunkirk; a brother, Robert (Vicki) Eddy of Fredonia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Jaggie of Greensboro, N.C. A private family service will be held. Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Memorials Center, 6725 Lyons St., E. Syracuse, N.Y. 13057; or to a charity of choice.
