Obituary of Jeffrey D. Erlandson

Jeffrey D. Erlandson, 57, of Jamestown, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016. A lifelong area resident, he was born May 9, 1959 in Jamestown, NY, a son of the late Gordon E. Erlandson and the late Joanne C. Morley Erlandson Lasker. Jeff was a 1977 graduate of Jamestown High School and a 1981 graduate of John Carroll University with a bachelor's degree in business. In previous years, he had been employed in the Human Resource Department of W.C.A. Hospital. Jeff will be remembered as a very loving and caring husband, father and a very proud grandfather. He loved spending time reading and playing with his grandchildren. He was an avid baseball fan and loved the New York Yankees. He also played on several baseball and softball leagues over the years. A very kind and loving person has left us too soon and will be missed by many. Surviving is his wife the former Debra L. Hendrickson whom he married April 24, 1982, a son, Daniel (Tara) Erlandson of Westfield, NY, a daughter, Emelie Erlandson of Erie, PA, two grandchildren, Paige and Caleb Erlandson of Westfield and two brothers, Michael (Sue) Erlandson and Gary Erlandson both of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by his father who died May 22, 1986 and his mother who died August 2, 2010. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016, in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor David Lillie of the Inside Track Christian Fellowship, Brocton, NY will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701.
