Obituary of M. Elizabeth Plano

M. Elizabeth Plano, 73, of 4 Westbury Ct. WE, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 in UPMC Chautauqua WCA. A lifelong area resident she was born August 21, 1943 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Augustine Ciancio. She was a 1961 graduate of Jamestown High School and graduated from Erie Community College with an Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene. In earlier years she had worked as a dental hygienist for Dr. Charles Sinatra. She also had worked for the Jamestown Public Schools and for Bells Supermarket. She was communicant of St. James Catholic Church and a former member of the church choir and also taught Sunday school. She loved spending time with family, playing cards, and enjoyed bingo and going to the casino. Surviving are her husband Roger F. Plano, whom she married March 22, 1975, two daughters Danielle M. (Kevin) Cederquist of Jamestown and Suzanne E. Plano of Sanford, Maine, a granddaughter Camryn M. Cederquist of Jamestown, a sister Julia Tuccio of Jamestown, and a brother George (Virginia) Ciancio of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers John and Anthony Ciancio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Monday (today) from 5-8 p.m. in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 4:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
