Obituary of Irwin G. Pollock

Irwin G. Pollock, 74, of 122 Midgley St. passed away at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Absolut of Westfield. He was born April 17, 1942 in Indiana, PA, a son of the late Gerald W. and Jeannette Lundstrom Pollock. He was a 1962 graduate of Indiana High School. Before retirement he worked at Sysco Foods for many years. He enjoying hunting and loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Family was everything to him. Irwin is survived by his wife Sylvia Meli Pollock, whom he married May 22, 1986, three sons, Irwin G. (Glenda) Pollock II of North Carolina, Douglas S. (Tawana) Pollock of Harrodsburg, KY, Daryle E. Pollock of Attica, NY, a daughter V. Michelle (Schuyler) Cross of Mayville, two stepsons Shawn (Amy) Moore of Youngstown, OH, Jeffery Moore of Bemus Point, grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob Pollock of Jamestown, Thadius and Zachariah Arthur of Mayville, Benjamin Cross of Mayville, Krystal Grooms of Harrodsburg, KY, Arthur Dahlgren of Jamestown, Gene Anthony Pollock of North Carolina, Dylan and Brennan Moore of Bemus Point, Crisinda Orr, two great-grandchildren Wyatt Grooms and Charlie Dahlgren, and a brother Ronald Pollock of Indiana, PA. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant grandson Matthew Ryan Arthur, two sisters DeMaris Frampton of Oregon and Lillian Pollock of Indiana, PA. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2017 in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Prewitt of Mayville First Baptist Church will officiate. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Sunday in the funeral home.
