Obituary of Nancy M. Costanzo

Nancy M. Costanzo, 78, of Carlson Towers, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017, in the Lutheran Retirement Home. She was born November 28, 1938 in Brockport, NY, a daughter of the late Clayton A. and June J. Sawdey Thomas. She attended Bemus Point United Methodist Church and was employed at the Beechwood Country House in Lakewood for many years as a waitress. Nancy enjoyed playing bingo, cards, going to the casino, doing puzzles and crossword puzzles and enjoyed fishing with her father. She is survived by a son Chip (Cindy) Swanson of Bemus Point, a daughter Carolyn Curry of Jamestown, a son Scott Swanson of Warren, PA; three step children Josie, Frank, and Nick Costanzo; seven grandchildren, Tabitha Swanson, Kristina Disbrow, Kyle Swanson, Jamie Paulson, Michael, Geoffrey, and Maggie Swanson; four great grandchildren Adreen and Daniel Swanson, Elizabeth Wisnewski, Charlie Swanson; two sisters Pat Munday and Elaine Jensen and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Jeffery Costanzo and a step daughter Mary Ellen Costanzo. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Kristin Allen will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Friends will be received from 3-6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
