Obituary of Kurt E. Coleson

Kurt E. Coleson, 56, of 321 W. Everett Ave. Falconer, NY, passed away unexpectedly at 10:01 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2017, in his home. A lifelong area resident, he was born January 26, 1961 in Jamestown, NY, a son of Conrad C. Coleson and Janette Nordland Coleson. Kurt was a 1979 graduate of Southwestern Central School. He was currently employed by Inscape of New York which was formerly Dowcraft Corporation, where he had worked for over 35 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed collecting coins. Surviving are his mother Janette Nordland Coleson of Jamestown, his father, Conrad C. Coleson (Suzanne Tome) of Lakewood, NY, a sister, Jenifer Coleson Dolph (Cyrus) , a niece Sarah Dolph, a nephew, William Dolph all of Spokane, WA, and his aunts and uncles, Carolyn Nordland Schneider, Phyllis Nordland Huling, Gerald Nordland, Morris Nordland, Cynthia Nordland Lineberger, Valerie Coleson Furlow, David Coleson, Kathy Coleson and Charles Coleson and is also survived by many cousins He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Conrad and Pauline Coleson, his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Agnes Nordland and his aunt, Candace Crocker. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dayle F. Keefer, pastor of the Fluvanna Community Church will officiate. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and for one hour prior to the service on Friday in the funeral home.
