Obituary of Patricia J. Steubing

Patricia J. Steubing, 86, of 231 E. Virginia Blvd, died Wednesday March 15, 2017, in UPMC Chautauqua WCA. She was born August 17, 1930, in Warren, PA, a daughter of the late Clayton and Celia Tickner. She was a graduate of Westfield Academy and later Cortland State University. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Falconer Central School as a teachers' aide and earlier had worked for Jamestown Community College as a physical education instructor. She was a member of Camp St. United Methodist Church and Allen Park Women's Club and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills. Surviving are two sons William (Diane) Steubing of Falconer and Thomas Steubing of Jamestown; a grandson Benjamin (Courtney) Steubing of Conewango and a great granddaughter Allison Steubing of Conewango. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Royal Steubing, whom she married August 20, 1955 and who died September 23, 1990; a brother Willis Ticknor and a sister Martha Mascaro. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
