Obituary of Alan Keith Eddy

Alan Keith Eddy of Ashville, N.Y. passed away May 9, 2017 at UPMC Chautauqua WCA. Keith was born April 1, 1943, in Jamestown to Everett (Pete) and Hazel Graham Eddy. A member of the Class of 1962 at Jamestown High School, he then served in the United States Army spending a good portion of his service time in Wiesbaden, Germany. At the time of his passing he had been married to the former Mary Jo Mineo for the past 43 years. Keith is also survived by the joy of his life, son Scott Keith Eddy. Other surviving relatives include his only sibling, sister Helen (Gordon) Lewis, brothers-in-law John (Rita) Mineo and Terry (Maryann) Frontino, a sister-in-law Jayne (Harold) Troy as well as several nieces and nephews. To those who knew him, he'll forever be remembered as an avid NASCAR fan, car lover and for his unfailing love of animals – especially cats, and his everlasting connection to the Ohio Valley. As per his request, no public service will be held at this time as Keith has gifted his body to the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Anatomical Gift Program with the hope that he may aid in discovering more about the rare form of cancer that he courageously battled for the past 11 years. Memorials in his name may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society.
