Obituary of Frank D. Foringer

Frank D. Foringer, 77, of Jamestown, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.

A longtime Jamestown resident, he was born on March 26, 1940, along with his twin brother Fredrick Duane, who has preceded him in death, in Clarion, Pa., to the late Charles M. and Leona Hillard Foringer.

Frank was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the American Legion and the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club.

He retired from the Jamestown Cummins Engine Plant in 1999, as did his beloved wife, the former Alice Rupp who preceded him in death in 2006. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and conservationist who loved the outdoors.

Frank is survived by his children: daughters Mona Lisa, Kristina, Loreen, and Lori; sons John, Kelly, and Charles; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother James; and a sister Nancy.

His family will hold a memorial ceremony to be announced at a later date.

"Thou, divine death, to which everything returns and disappears,

Receive thy children into thy star-studded bosom;

Free us from time, number and space;

And give us back the peace that life interrupted."
