Obituary of Jeanne R. Sears

Jeanne Robinson Sears, 86, of 1899 Winch Rd., Lakewood, NY, passed away peacefully at 12:54 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017, in the heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility.

An area resident since 1991, she was born April 18, 1931 in Boston, Mass. a daughter of the late Edward Allan and Madge Greer Robinson.

Jeanne was a graduate of the Notre Dame College of Ohio where she earned her bachelor's degree in English. She was also very fluent in the French and Latin language.

While living in Lakewood she had been employed by the Resource Center as Director of Public Relations and Development for several years.

She was a member of the Lakewood Women's Club and the Lakewood Book Club. She also had many interests including playing the guitar, reading, gardening, cooking, and playing scrabble with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed sailing wither husband on Lake Erie on their boat called the "Norwegian Blue" and traveling to Florida and New Orleans.

Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Stephen R. Sears of Lakewood, NY, her five children; Robert Majercak of Cleveland, OH, Catherine (Cathy) Glaser of Pinckney, MI, Susan Majercak of Stow, OH, John Majercak of Williamsburg, MA, Jeanne Majercak of Akron, OH, three step-children; Graham M.Sears of Hilton, NY, Arlie P. Sears, Gordon M. Sears both of Buffalo, NY, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a sister, Elaine Fisher Randolph of Seattle, WA.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Majercak, a brother, Allan Robinson and a nephew Michael Fisher

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date and time to be determined by her family. Visitation will not be observed.
