Phil was the husband of the late Patricia McCarthy Kennedy whom he married June 19, 1962 and who died December 4, 2000. He was born April 6, 1939 in Syracuse, NY, the son of the late Richard Wesley and Mary Koch Kennedy, and was a graduate of Syracuse University. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1961 to 1963. A landscape architect, Phil was a partner for many years with Habiterra Architects in Jamestown. In earlier years he enjoyed many family camping trips and in later years, traveling with his late wife, Pat. He was also an avid fisherman and over the years had collected more than 800 model beer trucks. His greatest enjoyment, though, were his grandchildren and attending any and all of their events. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul Kennedy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. John L. Kuhlmann will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
