Obituary of Arvilla T. Lepsesty

Arvilla T. Lepsesty, 95, formerly of Westerberg Towers, passed away Friday March 30, 2018 in the Lutheran Retirement Home. She was born on December 21, 1922 in Brandy Camp, PA., 1 of 14 children to Samuel and Cora Schaffer Bennett. Arvilla had been employed at WCA Hospital, and retired from Lutheran Social Services. She was member of St. Elia Albanian Orthodox Church, and volunteered at Head Start and St. Susan's Center. Surviving are two daughters: Dolores Parsons and Shirley Lepsesty both of Jamestown; two grandchildren: J. Thomas Parsons of Jamestown; Abbey (Bryan) Simmons of Rochester, NY; two great grandchildren: Justin M. and Thea R. Simmons both of Rochester; and two brothers: Vincent and Ronald Bennett both of PA. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas S. Lepsesty whom she married September 26, 1944 and who died January 29, 1968; two infants; and her dear friend, Alfred Lindquist who died July 1997. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Elia Albanian Orthodox Church. The Rev. John P. Hutnyan, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Trisagion Prayer Service will be led at 5:30 p.m. by the Rev.
