Obituary of Neal F. Higley

Neal F. Higley, 55, of 4000 Vincent Lane, Bemus Point, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 5, 2018, in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, following complications from a kidney transplant. He was born October 9, 1962 in Olean, NY, the son of Frederick S. and Laurel E. Vincent Higley. For the past several years he was associated with his family's business, Fred's Contract Cleaning, Inc. working as a carpet cleaner. Neal was a graduate of Olean High School and was a member of the Jamestown West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, where he was very active in the ministry of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was also a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. He will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed making maple syrup with his friends. Surviving are his parents, Frederick and Laurel Higley of Bemus Point, NY, and his aunts and uncles; David and Zorina Vincent, Mike Vincent, Richard and Darlene Beilen, Doris (late Jack) Vincent, Glenn and Nancy Kamery, Sally Kamery, Roland and Mary Tobler, John and Kathleen McGavisk and James Houghton. He was preceded in death by his aunt; Karen Houghton. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018, in the Lind Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Jamestown West Congregation Jehovah's Witnesses, 3454 Baker St. Ext. Jamestown, NY.
