Charles S. "Chuck" Ames, 86, of 1681 Willard Street, Ext., died Sunday March 12, 2023, in UPMC Chautauqua. Living his entire life on the family farm, he was born July 19, 1936, in Jamestown, the youngest son of Charles and Lillie Stone Ames. He was a proud member of Falconer High School Class of 1954 and looked forward to meeting classmates for breakfast every month for many years. Chuck was a 4th generation dairy farmer on the family homestead. He was a member of the Holstein Club for 70 years, Ross Grange and Draft Horse Club. He was the superintendent of the Allen Cemetery for most of his life, retiring in 2023. Surviving are six nieces and nephews Hermes (Linda) Ames, Pamela (David) Ames, Candace Ames, Thomas (Kathi) Ames, Donna (Nick) Mooyman and Robert (Robin) Ames and several great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Warren and Hermes Ames. The funeral will be held at 11 am Friday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Allen Cemetery.
