Obituary of Lisa A. Myers

Lisa A. Myers, 45, of 1710 Martin Road died Monday May 10, 2010 peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Clifford Myers whom she married on August 11, 1995. Lisa was born April 20, 1965 in Jamestown the beloved daughter of the late Daniel Gustafson and Joyce and Norman Nelson. Lisa was a 1983 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown Community College. Lisa enjoyed employment by Allied Fire Protection until 2003 when her cancer treatments no longer allowed her to work. Her beloved Jack Russell, Pebbles, brought joy and happiness in her life. Lisa will be sadly missed by her precious daughters Morgan Leigh Taylor of Davie, FL and Kate Elise, at home. A proud mother, Lisa's life centered around Morgan and Kate. Before her sickness, Lisa enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and traveling to Key West, Isle Marada, Cape Coral, FL, Skaneateles Lake, Niagara on the Lake, Belhurst Castle in Lake Geneva, Cape May, Virginia Beach, and especially St. John, US Virgin Islands. She loved her collection of Belleck Irish Porcelain. Surviving besides her husband, daughters, and mother are a brother, First Sergeant Daniel L. Gustafson (Amy) of Fort Bragg, NC; a sister, Lori Studley (Larry) of Ashville, NY; a maternal grandfather, James O'Brien of Jamestown; a great aunt, Ellen Nelson of Gerry; aunts and uncle, Cheryl Nelson of Jamestown; Jackie Nelson of Lockport, NY; Gary O'Brien of Jamestown; Judy Lundmark (Jeff) of Frewsburg; nieces and nephews, Paige Gustafson and Ryan Gustafson both of Hope Mills, NC; Logan, Lily, and Luke Studley all of Ashville, NY; and her beloved caretaker and friend, Elaine Kernan of Westmont, NJ. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Helen and Leonard Gustafson; maternal grandmother, Lillian O'Brien; maternal grandparents, Beatrice and Elmer Nelson; an uncle, Roger Nelson; and a cousin, Theodore T. Moll. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Cathy Basile, Hospice Chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
