Obituary of Jane H. Bloomquist

Jane H. Bloomquist, 93, of Greenville, SC formerly of Sumter, SC and Lakewood, NY died Saturday (May 15, 2010) in the McCall Hospice House of Greenville. She was born February 18, 1917 in Jamestown the daughter of Fletcher and Sarah Neate Halladay. Jane was a graduate of Falconer High School and was a member of First Lutheran Church in Jamestown and St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Greenville. Surviving are a son, John (wife Mary Kay) Bloomquist of Greenville formerly of Jamestown; a daughter, Ann E. (husband Bob) Carlson of Raleigh, NC formerly of Bemus Point; four grandchildren, Jeffrey John (wife Millie) Bloomquist of Coral Gables, FL; Sarah G. (husband Todd) Justus of Spartanburg, SC; Kimberly (husband Dan) Lobell of Whippany, NJ; Christopher R. (wife Kristine) Carlson of Cary, NC; six great grandchildren, Isabela R. Bloomquist of Coral Gables; Nathan and Clay Justus of Spartanburg; Ashley Lobell of Whippany; and Matthew D. and Ryan C. Carlson of Cary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard E. Bloomquist whom she married August 16, 1941 and who died January 13, 1990; a sister, Marian McDonnell; and a brother, Warren W. Halladay. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday May 22, 2010 in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
