Carm always had kitties that she called her kids and loved her companion, Bonnie. She also enjoyed watching birds and squirrels from her window. Following the 911 Tragedy, she made hundreds of rugs for abandoned animals that were distributed through New York City's Humane Society. She was later recognized by the Humane Society and local television for her efforts. In earlier years, Carm sang with Dorothy Brooks, on the Saturday Morning Breakfast Club and at the former Pier Ballroom in Celoron. She is survived by two sons, Wesley (Susie) Devine of Ashville and Donald (Joyce) Devine of Jamestown; two grandsons, David (Sherry) Devine of Sherman and John (Karen) Devine of Ashville; three great grandchildren, Taylor Christine Gulnac, Nicholas Wesley Devine and Lilly Madeline Devine; three stepdaughters, Sandra Osmanski of Erie, Christine Harvey of Sugar Grove and Pamela Mead of Georgia; a step-granddaughter, Lisa Mattoon of Jamestown; a step greatgrandson, Jacob Mattoon; and a brother, Floyd W. Fanale of Jamestown. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, LaVerne and Wesley "Bud" Fanale. The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Lucy Zulick will officiate. Burial will be in the Watts Flats Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Tuesday.
