Obituary of Janet M. Becker

Janet M. Becker, 69, formerly of 50 Colfax St. died at 12:50 a.m. Friday (February 12, 2010) in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. An area resident for most of her life she was born January 29, 1941 in Indiana, PA a daughter of the late Albert and Gwendolyn McCathren Craig. In earlier years she was employed as a nurse's aide for the Heritage Village Health Care Center. Mrs Becker attended the First Church of God and will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who was very dedicated to her children and their families. Surviving are her four children, Crystal (Keith) Gowan, William (Kathy) Freedline, Kathy Freedline all of Jamestown, John Freedline of Wisc. 25 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, three step-children Bonnie Crowell of Louisville, KY, Lori Hazelton, John Jasen Becker both of Jamestown, several step-grandchildren, a brother Al Craig of Johnstown, PA, a sister Jean Craig Hewitt of Jamestown and her close friend Karen Grimes of Panama. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband William Freedline, her second husband David Becker, a son Michael Freedline, an infant daughter Gwendolyn Walls and her brother James Craig. The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Myron M. Myers, retired pastor will officiate. Friends will be received from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
