Obituary of Evelyn F. Hudson
Evelyn F. Hudson, 78, of 4932 Stoneledge Rd., Ashville, died Wednesday September 16, 2009, in her home. She was born June 14, 1931, in Falmouth, MI, a daughter of Rocco and Violet Haveman Frontuto. She was a graduate of Chautauqua High School and earned a master's degree in education from Fredonia State University. She was employed by Panama Central School District as a first grade teacher for 22 years. She was an active member of Ashville United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. Other memberships include the Quilter's Guild, Garden Club, Prism Quartet and Koinonia of Jamestown. Surviving are three children Scott Brown of Gerry, Sylvia (William) Schaaf of Erie, PA, Bradley Brown of Gerry, two grandsons Shawn (Kristin)Seekings of Lackawanna and Chris Seekings of Ashville, a step daughter Debbie (William) Champney of Victor, NY, two step grandchildren Drew and Brynn Champney of Victor, nine brothers Charles, Robert, Elmer, Peter, Paul, Alfred, Jerry, Edward and Joseph Frontuto and two sisters Rosalie Braymiller and Betty Lansky. She was preceded in death by her first husband Milton Brown in 1984, her second husband Clayton Hudson in 2007, and a brother Buddy Frontuto. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Ashville United Methodist Church. Friends will be received in fellowship hall of the church following the service.
