Obituary of Alice M. Pressing
Alice Willig Pressing, 93, formerly of 303 West Fifth St, Jamestown, died at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday (May 19, 2009) in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born April 3, 1916 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of Andrew and Mary Lesinski Burtan. Alice had worked at TRICO and AM & A's in Buffalo and she also helped run Pressing's Restaurant. She enjoyed saying the Rosary, and always remembered everyone's special occasion with a card and a note. Surviving is her son, Joseph D. (Marianne) Willig of Jamestown; three grandchildren, Joseph M. (Rhonda) Willig of Painted Post, NY; Deborah A. (Curtis) Bova of Highlands Ranch, CO; Michael J. Dayna) Willig of Portland, ME; and five great grandchildren, Hillary, Matthew, Eve, Paige, and Nicholas. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pressing; a sister, Johanna, and two brothers, Alfred and Chester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Apostles Parish, SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Buffalo. Friends will be received from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Susan's Center, 31 Water St. Jamestown, NY 14701.
