Obituary of Marie E Anderson

Marie Eileen Anderson, 77, of 6026 Dole Rd., Panama, NY passed away at 9:45 p.m. Monday (August 9, 2010) in her home surrounded by her loving family. An area resident for the past 42 years, she was born April 25, 1933 in Sinnamahoning, PA a daughter of the late Durell and Mary Zoschg Jordan. She was a 1951 graduate of Lewiston High School, Lewiston, NY. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church, Panama and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of the church. She was also a member of the Panama Fire Department Auxiliary, the Lake wood Rod and Gun Club Auxiliary, and the Harmony Senior Citizens Society. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved to spend time baking and entertaining her large family. She also loved to do ceramics and was an avid reader. Surviving are her husband Kay G. Anderson whom she married September 15, 1956, three sons Thomas (Toni) Anderson of Villa Rica, GA, George (Trudy) Anderson of Panama, Dennis (Joy) Anderson of Summerfield, FL, four daughters Donna (Steve) Martin of Warner, NH, Mary (Brian) Pochatko of Sugar Grove, PA, Patricia (Duane) Kristensen of Shape, Belgium, Judith Jamil) Anderson of Beirut, Lebanon, 20 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, three brothers William Jordan, Robert Jordan, John Jordan all of Ransomville, NY, four sisters Frances DiLaura, Joan Messier both of Ransomville, NY, Ida Kennedy of Hamilton, OH, Janice Troxell of Lockport, NY. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Matthew Jordan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2010, in Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Panama. Msgr. Joseph M. Dowdell, pastor will be celebrant. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010, in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led by Msgr. Dowdell at 1:45 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
