Obituary of Anna M. Angilella

Anna M. Angilella, 95, of 9 Crane St. and formerly 179 Barrows St. in Jamestown, died at 8:50 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2010. She was the widow of L. Robert Angilella, whom she married June 27, 1933 and who died October 13, 1993. A lifelong area resident, Anna was born August 1, 1915 in Troy, NY, the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Pafundi DeNunzio. She was employed by Jamestown Public Schools Food Services for many years. She also volunteered in the Physical Therapy Department of WCA Hospital. In earlier years she served as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She was very active in the Bush School PTA and was the recipient of the Life Member of the PTA in 1960. Anna was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Surviving are three daughters: Rita (Richard) Brown of Lakewood, NY, LeAnne (Norman) Kosmerl of Williamsville, NY and Joyce (Paul) Seversky of Canastota, NY; eight grandchildren: Randy (Kara) Brown of Wakefield, MA, Rebecca (Ken) Sherman of Portsmouth, VA, Jeffrey (Suzanne) Kosmerl of Avondale Estates, GA, Mark Kosmerl of Corvallis, OR, Cheryl Kosmerl of Denver, CO, Nathan (Kathleen) Seversky of New Haven, CT, Lee Seversky of Oneida, NY and Michael Seversky of Webster, NY; and six great-grandchildren: Sophie, Robert and Henry Brown, Molly Sherman, Wyatt Kosmerl and Kate Seversky. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Albert DeNunzio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Church, 27 Allen St., Jamestown, NY 14701; or to the Association for Research of Childhood Cancer, Memorials & Donations, P.O.
