Obituary of Phillip A. Pielmeier

Phillip A. Pielmeier, 53, of 1690 Warren-Jamestown Blvd. passed away at 5:00 a.m. Monday (August 30, 2010) in his home following a brave and courageous battle with cancer. A Jamestown area resident since 1987, he was born August 16, 1957 in Buffalo, NY a son of the late Paul Pielmeier and Adeline Murray (the late Gene) Schmidli. Phil was a 1975 graduate of Sweet Home High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from November 25, 1975 to January 24, 1980. Before his retirement due to ill health, he was an Installer-Service Technician for Time Warner Cable Company where he worked from 1987 to 2009. In earlier years he had worked for DM&M Cable Installations of West Seneca, NY. He will be remembered as a loving and caring husband and father who was a very active hardworking man. His family and his home were his pride and joy and was a man of many talents. He was a member of the War Vets Recreation Club. Surviving are his wife and high school sweetheart, the former Cynthia Morgante whom he married March 5, 1976, his mother of Buffalo, three sons, Adam P. Pielmeier, Gary P. Pielmeier both of Conway, SC, Steven M. Pielmeier of Jamestown, four sisters Paula (Robert) Pfeil of Punta Gorda, FL, Pamela (the late Anthony) Schiavone of Buffalo, Penny Pielmeier (Kevin Slavinski) of N. Tonawanda, Phyllis Baron (Don Snickles) of Niagara Falls, two brothers Paul Pielmeier, Jr. and Perry (Angie) Pielmeier all of Buffalo, his step-mother Audrey Pielmeier of Buffalo and also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his father he was preceded in death by a brother Peter Pielmeier, two sisters Peggy Pielmeier, Patty Ann Merko, and a nephew Jeremy Pfeil. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m Friday in The Family Church, 3130 Garfield Rd. Jamestown. The Rev. Timothy Stahlman, pastor will officiate. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd.
