I have only found out now that Roy has died when finding out his brother Nelson has just died and looking for his Nelson's obituary. I was Roy's younger neighbor. In fact, my twin sister and my sister a year younger, and I were closer to Roy's brother's Alan's age. I still remember playing tricks on Roy along with his brother Alan and my sisters, when we were young, and Roy took it stride. I remember going to early Thanksgiving dinners at his parents' house. I still remember attending Roy and Nancy's wedding as a teenager, along with my sisters and mother (my father had to work). May you be enjoying the company of the saints and angels in Paradise. May you be Sanctified in the Presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May you be glorified in the Holy Trinity -Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We will meet again.

The Joy of Roy *An international expert in the maintenance of antique automobiles, *A faithful usher and greeter at EFMC.,,, making sure that visitors felt welcomed!! WE DID! = ) *A man of many jokes.... many, many jokes... which brought joy to others. *An inventor of sorts....of gadgets,a bulletin holder, pencil holders,light switch line, fancy wheel chair equipped with horn and oh so many more,....... *A delightful sense of humor......During brain surgery.....”Doc....do you see a brain? Could you run out and tell Ma that I really do have one?! “ *A lover of all things Nancy. *A volunteer at Powdermill Park Fish Hatchery and a man who supplied fishing poles to many to share his joy of fishing! *An adopted grandparent to the Stark children. *A Bicycle rider up until three years ago?! Oh my, Roy!! *A collector of tools. *A writer of car manuals. *A devoted follower of our Lord Jesus. While I am writing about the joy of Roy I would like to take a moment to honor his Nancy.... How much we can learn from her dedication and commitment to the man she loved..... even during tough times.... even during doctors visits galore..... Thanks Nancy... for taking such good care of Roy. Thanks for being an example of unselfish love and caring. You remain in our prayers!

We have had the pleasure of knowing this fine man for just about two years. It was my pleasure to spend at least six hours a week with Roy. He was a true friend and confidant. We talked about many subjects under the sun. He had a passion for antique cars and he educated me on how they ran. Roy was a Christian man who put his faith in God during his years struggling with his health. He never had a negative word about the Lord. He never blamed anyone about his pain. He just kept one smiling. Roy will be missed by his loving wife Nancy who was with him 24/7 . I will miss his smiling face and positive attitude. We know that he is with the Lord and he will watch over all of us.

I knew Roy through my great freind Ron Stokes. We met with Roy on a number of occasions but alwyas on the subject of vintage cars. He was a always a brilliant technical mind that appealed my lack of ability in that quarter. He was very modest but very capable and I shall miss hearing news from him via Ron.
