Obituary of Alan H. Bowers

Alan H. Bowers, 72, of 63 Chapin St. died at 12:00 noon Thursday (November 11, 2010) in WCA Hospital. He was born February 13, 1938 in Jamestown the son of the late Thomas A. and Alice Connelly Bowers. Alan was a graduate of Jamestown High School and worked for the BPU Water Department for many years, starting out as a meter reader and retiring as a working foreman. He liked trains, talking about science, photography, and cars. Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Lois Bailey Bowers; four daughters, Susan (William) Kelsey of Bradenton, FL; Cindi (Gus) Pattyson; Becky Bowers, both of Jamestown; Deborah (Larry) Perkins of Reno, NV; one granddaughter, Karen Kelsey; four grandsons, Justin (Jade) Hawthorne; Jesse (Christina) Hawthorne; Bryan (Rebecca) Kelsey; Matthew Perkins; two great granddaughters, Amber McCloud, Isabella Villalobos; three great grandsons, Nathan Blystone, Evan and August Hawthorne; and a sister, Marcia K. Bowers. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday November 20, 2010 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses East Congregation, 180 Martin Road Jamestown. Brother Paul Inserra will officiate. Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
