She spent her childhood years in Richmond, VA and graduated in 1957 from Alliance High School in Alliance, OH where she was a National Honor Society student and Merit Scholarship winner. She graduated from Mount Union College in 1961 with a degree in English Education and Chemistry. Nancy formerly owned Castle's Bridal Shop and had also been employed by Bigelow's Department Store. She was currently co-owner of DNC Tooling, LLC along with her husband, Don. Nancy was happiest spending time with her family, as well as with her friends in the Chautauqua Lake Region Antique Car Club. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: Jeffrey (Mary) Castle of Bemus Point, Stephen (Karen) Castle of South Windsor, CT and Cheryl Anne (Michael) Sobieralski of Murfreesboro, TN; six grandchildren: Brian & Blair Castle, Aiden & Riley Castle, and Margaret & Emily Sobieralski; and one great-granddaughter, Adelaide Castle. Also surviving is a sister, Jane (Charles) Brubach of Sinking Springs, PA; an aunt, Elizabeth Carpenter of New Castle, DE; sister-in-law, Diana Young of Stow, OH; brother-in-law, Jon (Jean) Castle of Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held in New Castle, Delaware. The family suggests memorials be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
