Obituary of Charles Arnone

Charles "Bert" Arnone, 85, of Chautauqua Ave. Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Health South in Erie, Pa. after a brief illness. A lifelong Jamestown resident, he was born Nov. 16, 1931, a son of the late Salvatore and Stella Boscarino Arnone. He attended Jamestown High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Before retirement he was employed by the Chautauqua County Highway Dept. In earlier years he had worked at Art Metal and AVM Corporation. He had a love for Beagle's and raised them for many years. He was a past president of the Lake Erie Beagle Club where he judged field trials. He and his wife would also travel to other area clubs to judge as well. Bert is survived by three children: Rebecca Eddy and David Arnone, both of Lakewood, James (Lisa) Arnone of Jamestown; seven grandchildren: Jeremy, Joshua, Megan, Jenna, Macy, Ellie, and Abigail Arnone; one great-grandchild, Jack Arnone; a brother, Paul Arnone of Jamestown; and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Giaimo Arnone, who passed away Jan, 20, 2016; three brothers: Joseph, Anthony, and Dominic Arnone; a sister Emma Swan; and a son-in-law Daniel C. Eddy. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017 in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Adam Rohler will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
