Obituary of Milford E. Towne

Milford E. "Tony" Towne, 82, of Riverside Road Jamestown, passed away peacefully Saturday November 25, 2017 in the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House, Warren, PA. He was born August 2, 1935 in Leon, NY the son of the late LeRoy and Evalyn Lathrop Towne. Tony was a jack of all trades. He worked at Strandburg Slaughter House, was a machinist at Marlin Rockwell Corp, self employed truck driver, worked in Arizona for a time at the Seminole Beef Ranch, Proto Tool in Jamestown, and he was a Crossing Guard with the Bradenton, Florida Sheriff's Department. Tony was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles; 50 year member of the Teamsters Local Union; a life member of the NRA; and a past member of the Carroll Rod and Gun Club. Surviving are a son, Curtis (Lynn) Towne of Limestone, NY; twin daughters, Deanna (John) Hollabaugh of Tidioute, PA; Donna (Kenny) Fiscus of Warren, PA; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years G. Loraine Towne who died August 1, 2011; a brother Robert Towne; and a sister Roseilia Brown. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
