Obituary of Robert H. McArthur

Robert H. McArthur, 95, formerly of 61 Gifford Ave. Lakewood, NY, passed away at 7:55 am Monday, November 27, 2017, in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. An area resident for the past 50 years, he was born June 12, 1922 in Bradford, PA, a son of the late William and Hanna Dahlstrand McArthur. Before his retirement, he was employed as a salesman for McCourt Label Company in Bradford, PA for many years. Following his retirement he had worked at Wilson Farms in Lakewood for several years. He was a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and will be remembered for his love of the family pets and doing yardwork. Surviving are his wife the former Lareena Fardink McArthur whom he married February 2, 1971, a daughter, Jackie McArthur of Lakewood, a son, Robert McArthur of Phoenixville, PA, two grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, William McArthur and a sister, Mary Stromberg. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Park for the excellent care they provided Robert for the last five years.
