Obituary of Sarah Jane Hatch

Sarah Jane Hatch, 88, formerly of Meadow Lane, Jamestown, passed away Sunday January 7, 2018 in UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hospital. She was born January 30, 1929 in Oil City, PA the daughter of the late James and Jessie Carson Peterson. Sarah had been employed at Things Remembered in the Chautauqua Mall. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and was active in their quilting group. Sarah was an avid reader, fun-loving, and enjoyed playing cards and board games. She also enjoyed going to yard sales. Surviving are two daughters: Beverly (Ivan) Crossno of Cheektowaga, NY; Kathleen Anderson of Jacksonville, FL; a son, James (Pama) Hatch of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren: Derek Anderson, Corey (Wendy) Anderson, Laura Sikorski, Diane (Mark) Fleming, Carson Hatch, and Andrew Hatch; three great grandchildren: Chandler Anderson, Anna Fleming, and Charles Fleming. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Arthur M. Hatch who died May 28, 2006; and a brother, James Carl Peterson. A memorial service will be announced at a later date by the Lind Funeral Home.
