Obituary of Patricia Ann Reed

Patricia Ann "Pat" Reed, of 2322 Fox Rd., Ashville, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018, in her home. She was born on August 21, 1946, the daughter of the late Alvin E. and Gertrude M. Culverwell Hedstrom, Sr. She was a graduate of Randolph High School and received her Associates Degree from Jamestown Business College in 1966. Before retirement, she was employed at Chautauqua County Department of Social Services. In earlier years she had worked at Tri County Signs, McFadden Ford, and Chase Bank. She attended the Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the ladies bible study. Pat will be remembered for her love for her friends and family and enjoyed the special times cooking with her grandchildren. Pat is survived by a son, Tim (Heather Leigh Edwards) Reed of Ashville; two grandchildren: Owen and Aysia Reed of Ashville; two brothers: Alvin E. (Catheryn) Hedstrom, Jr. of Wheatland, WY and Rev. Walter J. (Linda) Hedstrom of Salem, AL; her caregiver and sister in law Marilyn Stearns; two brothers in law: Donald (Sandra) Fuller and Douglas (Debbie) Fuller, both of Ashville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. "Charlie" Reed, Jr., whom she married Oct. 7, 1967, and whom passed away on Oct. 6, 2017. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018, in the Church of the Nazarene, 405 Howard Ave., Jamestown. The Rev. Walter Hedstrom, Pat's brother, and Dr. Mark Hanson, will officiate. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home.
