Obituary of Mary Sue Gulino

Mary Sue Gulino, of 1523 Maple St., Jamestown, NY, passed away in her home on Sunday morning, May 27, 2018 after fighting a long battle with multiple myeloma. She was 75 years young. A daughter of the late Zebulon Weaver Cunningham and Bonnie Hensley Cunningham, Mary Sue was born and raised in Dillsboro, NC in the Great Smoky Mountains. For 21 years she worked as a caregiver for CareGivers in Jamestown, and prior to that was a childcare provider for many years. She simply loved to take care of people. Mary Sue was an avid reader and had a genuine love for dancing. She was a strong and proud democrat, an amazing cook and baker, and a beautiful, loving, caring and compassionate human being. Her favorite times of the year were those spent traveling to the Smoky Mountains to visit her family. She is loved beyond measure and will be missed dearly. Surviving is her husband of 46 years, Jerry Gulino; three children, Jennifer Eva Coan, Stacy Gulino and John Gulino, and three grandchildren, Zeb, Gisele and Dresden Coan, all of Jamestown; as well as six siblings, Linda (Horace) Snyder of Katy, TX and Shirley Ashe, Bob (Pat) Cunningham, Tom (Linda) Cunningham, Jim (Norma) Cunningham and Mike Cunningham, all of the Dillsboro, NC area; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 6th in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy will be celebrant. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 5th in the Lind Funeral Home. Mary Sue's family wishes to thank all of the caring people at Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care. Memorials may be made to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
