She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jamestown. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and attending holiday and other family events. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she enjoyed baking cookies, buying gifts, and decorating her home. She was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills.

In addition to her parents, her husband of 28 years predeceased her on November 19, 1976. She is preceded in death by all of her nine older siblings: Isabel, Mable, Thomas, Joseph, William, Ida, Anna Mary, Robert, and Barbara.
