Obituary of David L. Goulding

David L. Goulding, 89, of Lakewood, died Friday July 6, 2018, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing.

He was born March 18, 1929 on the family farm in Sheridan, NY, a son of the late Kenneth and Helen MacCubbin Goulding.

He was a graduate of Dunkirk High School.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Marlin Rockwell Corporation as a supervisor. He earlier had worked for Jamestown Metal Corporation as a welder.

He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, Vikings and War Vets Recreation.

He enjoyed hunting and golfing. He also enjoyed carpentry and built his own home.

Surviving are four children Patrick (Kathy) Goulding of Henderson, NV, Michael (Debbie) Goulding of Jacksonville, FL, Patricia (Ross) Paterniti of Jamestown and Timothy Goulding of Townville, SC and four grandchildren Patrick Goulding II of Boulder Creek, CA, Krista (Drew) Greer of Burien, WA, and Nicole Goulding and Adam Goulding both of Mesquite, TX.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife the former Joyce Overberg, whom he married August 5, 1950 and who died July 1, 2008; a daughter Christine Goulding; two brothers Clarence and William Goulding and a sister Amaha Collin.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Daniel Nagle will officiate.

Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
