Obituary of Carl M. Salupo

Carl M. "Butch" Salupo, Jr., 76, formerly of Jamestown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at the Chapel View Health Care Center, Hopkins, MN. He was born May 31, 1942 in Jamestown, NY, a son of the late Carl and Rose Brunacini Salupo. Butch enjoyed working with his hands and spent most of his employment years as a member of the local Union 600/621, as a laborer, where he took great pride in his workmanship. He will be greatly missed and remembered by his family and friends for his love of hand buffing shiny black cars to perfection on weekends (back in the day). He will also be remembered for his love of anything sweet (from candy to women), his infectious smile, compassionate heart, and for his quick-witted sarcastic humor. Surviving is his son and daughter, Mike and Darlene, both of Minnesota; a sister, Joanne "Bunny" (Geoff) Benedict of Eden Prairie, MN, two grandchildren; Kurt Salupo and Kyla Hall, six great grandchildren, his 25 year special bond with Candace Kircher and family, and his faithful fur baby, "Peanut". Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his children's mother and good friend, Elaine "Dottie" Frost. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Jamestown, NY. Visitation will not be observed. The family suggests that condolences be sent to Bunny Benedict, 8570 Darnel Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55347.
