Obituary of Karen L. Pudlewski

Karen L. Pudlewski, 70, of 457 Front St., Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly at 10:40 am Sunday, November 25, 2018, in her home.

An area resident for most of her life, she was born June 28, 1948 in Logan, West VA, a daughter of the late Sireno J. "Cy" and Jean A. Simmons Bello.

She had been employed as a clerk at the Bon-Ton Store and had previously worked in the sales department for Chase Interiors and was also the office manager for Kex Copy and most recently worked in the deli department at Farm Fresh Foods.

She was an active volunteer for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program where she made lap blankets and throws for the elderly. She received her 10 year award pin for her many years of volunteering. She was a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club Auxiliary and will be remembered mostly for her love of angels, playing bingo and going on shopping trips. She also loved to bake and cook large dinners for her family and friends andwas the type of person who had a special touch when taking care of others.

Surviving are her husband, Gary T. Pudlewski whom she married March 18, 1994, four children: Stephanie Cardone of Las Vegas, NV, Pamela (Jim) Kelsey of Lakewood, NY, Joseph (Chalya) Pudlewski of Oneonta, NY, Corinn (Ally) Stier of Cheektowaga, NY, six grandchildren: Felicia Cardone of Celoron, NY, Dalton Cardone of Los Angeles, CA, Andrew Tefft of Warren, PA, Lucas Kelsey of Lakewood, NY, Elisette Pudlewski and Emma Pudlewski both of Oneonta, NY, one great grandson, Ethan Shackford, a brother, James "Bo" (Rhonda) Bello, of Jamestown, a sister, Janis (Sam) Ippolito of Falconer, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother who died July 20, 2005 and her father who died December 13, 1991.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, November 29, 2018, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald E. Ray, pastoral associate of First Presbyterian Church will officiate.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Thursday in the funeral home.
