Obituary of Charles A. Kruse

Charles A. Kruse, 85 died Friday January 4th in Boca Raton Fl. He was born on March 28th 1933 in Jamestown N. Y. the son of the late Martha and Gunnard Kruse. Although he lived in Boca Raton with his son and daughter in law for the last three and an half years, he was a long time resident of Bemus Point and a 1951 graduate of Bemus Point High School lettering in baseball and football. With a bachelor's degree in traffic management he worked for Pilot freight carriers, Blackstone corp., and Kling Mfg. Past president of Jamestown Transportation Club, past president of Delta Nu Alpha transportation fraternity, past president of the New York State Association of Certified Football Officials, past president of the Bemus Point Volunteer Fire department, and member in good standing in the Lenhart Yacht Club. He is survived by his son Randal C. and daughter in law Susan F. Kruse, Grandsons Cody, Matthew, and Michael Kruse, all of Boca Raton Fl., granddaughter Stacy (Senick) Gibson of Ashville N. C., and sister Janet Scott of Jamestown. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline Bailey Kruse, whom he married May 24, 1952 and who died July 2, 2015 and a daughter RoxAnne Senick. A memorial service will be held at the Lind Funeral Home 805 W 3rd St, Jamestown, NY on Saturday Jan. 19 at 11:00 to be followed by a celebration of his life at the See-Zurh House/Shaggys, 14 Main St. in Bemus Point at 12 noon.
