Obituary of Joseph Trippi

Joseph J. 'Joe' Trippi, 65, of Kissimmee Florida, died peacefully in his sleep at his home on Sunday, March 17, 2019. Born on March 17th, 1954, Joe grew up in Jamestown, NY, the son on the late Anthony L. 'Nin' Trippi and Mary (Trussalo) Trippi. Joe was a gifted and talented entertainer and musician, was awarded a scholarship to The Juilliard School of Music at the tender age of 18, which he subsequently declined, in order to tour with the band Spiral Staircase, who had the hit single, "I Love You More Today Than Yesterday". Joe's entertainment career spanned over three decades, during which time he formed his own band, Joe Trippi & Fantasy. Joe and the band performed at many illustrious venues, including various casinos in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Joe may be best remembered for his time spent in Miami Beach at his 'home away from home, The Poodle Lounge, at The Fontainbleu Hilton Hotel. In addition to his shows at Disney's Beach Club, Pleasure Island. Joe was unable to perform the last several years, due to declining health but he never lost his passion for his music, his Miami Dolphins and his love of animals. Joe is survived by his daughter, Brittni Trippi and his dog Nikki. A committal service will be held at 11 am Monday in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor of Holy Apostles Parish will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to send donations to your local Humane Society, which Joe would have appreciated.
