Obituary of Richard L. Morrison

Richard L. "Dick" Morrison, 73, of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, April 9, 2019.

He was the husband of Ann Pantall Morrison, whom he married February 14, 1986.

A lifelong area resident, Dick was born October 14, 1945 in Jamestown, a son of the late Ernest and Norma Carlson Morrison, and was a 1963 graduate of Southwestern Central School.

For 43 years, he was employed by SKF in Jamestown.

He had been a member of Busti Federated Church, the Eagles, Busti Men's Assoc. and the Sugar Grove AMVETS #50.

Dick enjoyed hunting, NASCAR races, his nightly Wii bowling matches, as well as both telling and hearing jokes. He also spent many hours in his pride and joy, his tidy garage.

Dick was always there for everybody. There wasn't a thing he wouldn't do for the people he loved.

In addition to his wife, Ann, surviving are five children: Dan (Jodi) Morrison of Boardman, OH, Theresa (Chris) Butts and LeRoy Tubbs, Jr., both of Jamestown, Elizabeth (Douglas) Liddell of Bemus Point and Patrick Tubbs of Buffalo; eight grandchildren: Scott Smith, Josh Pearson, Victor Cardinale, Phil Tubbs, Dani (Victor) Gonzalez, Corrine Cardinale, Cory Tubbs and Melissa Tubbs; two great-grandsons, Brenden and Zach; a brother, Dave Morrison of Akeley, PA; many lifelong friends; and his beloved dog, "Duke".

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Cory D. Morrison; and two brothers, Robert and James Morrison.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel K. Nagle will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
