Obituary of Kent R. Norgren

Kent R. Norgren, 59, of 509 E. 5th Street, died Monday April 15, 2019, in UPMC Hamot, the result of a car pedestrian accident. He was born November 18, 1959, in Jamestown, a son of the late Gordon and Ethel Derkacz Norgren. He was a 1977 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown Community College. An extremely gifted woodworker, he was a self employed contractor, carpenter and furniture refinisher. He enjoyed building model airplanes and flying drones. The Buffalo Bills have lost one of their biggest fans. Surviving are his sister Beth (Kent) Black of Statesville, NC; sister in law Gay Norgren of Alden, NY; nieces and nephews Jody (Darren) Williams, Michelle (Timothy) Wissert, Krista (Mark) Scholeno, Leslie Black, Andrew Norgren and William Black and several great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Norgren. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
